We have this beautiful bird's nest right outside our window. First the momma sat forever, then these little weak necks started to pop up for food. Soon there were feathers, and then four fat babies that barely fit. One day one jumped up and took off. The next morning they were all gone... insert every parenting metaphore you know here... it was really a wonderful experience for us to watch.
