Today we are blessed.

Day 6 with Becket. He has been a great sleeper and eater. Infact, last night was the first night I didn't get a full 8 hours (broken ofcourse- but any new mom will tell you 8 hours any way you can get them is excellent)

but that isn't the only reason why we are blessed.

Our friends have overwhelmed us with food and blessings- including a catered in dinner from Bet & Tim, Lasagna from Jenny and the Brinks, Carl's Jr. from Josh (of course) Tortilla soup from Amanda, Take out from the Cooks and Langleys, Zucchini bread from Jenny, Cookies from Bet, Offers from the Budzynskis, Spences, Myers and Longs- Presents from just about everyone (even presents for Augie)... we may never have to cook for ourselves again.

but that isn't the only reason we are blessed.

Our boys are healthy and happy- and Augie is even starting to acknowledge Becket. We have been able to get to the park almost every day since Beck got here. The fall weather is perfect. My body is healing fast, I feel wonderful.

but that isn't the only reason we are blessed.

We both love our life's work. We have our needs met, we can pay our mortgage and put gas in our car and spend time together. We can serve our church, keep the lights on, watch Broncos on Sunday and have some starbucks too...

but that isn't the only reason we are blessed.

An hour ago I watched my Jeff chase Augie around the front yard playing "football". This was after we had a little tiff about our time and our money and how to divvy up the responsibilities of 2 kids. We both wanted more time to have meetings and plan classes. I watched them play and I didn't care anymore about the things that are "mine". I am so thankful to have these sons and this husband. I felt an absolute fool for fighting about the things that do not matter, and so grateful to right away be reminded of the things that do. We have our beautiful family. Our beautiful, healthy, stick together family. And we are blessed.

I just keep getting cuter by the day!

So we got up in mom's lap with becket for atleast one minute yesterday. We even patted Beckets head (I think more as a scientific observation than as affection).

But as soon as the camera got there to document the occasion, Augie got down. He doesn't want to be seen engaging in such illicit activity.

So he just sat next to mom and Becket for the rest of the night.
So we keep current on Augie as well. Here the man is learn to use a straw.

And we have done very well sitting at the table recently.

Midwife Marie

Meeting Mommy

I weighed in at 7 lbs 5 oz

I am 20 inches tall

My pediatric nurse took my foorprints....and it didn't even get my feet black. Magic?

My Dad put my first (of many to come) diaper on me....He's an old pro at this by now, ya know.

My BIG brother got to go spend some time at Grammy and Grampa Langley's while me and Mommy rested. He likes sink baths and got Grammy as wet as he was...Way to go Augie!

No X-Box for Grampa...I get to watch cartoons on the BIG screen instead!
I can't wait until I am big enough to play with Augies favorite toy blocks at Grammys.

Becket is a sleep hound. I think he has been up for a combined three or so far when not eating.

Looking ripped.
