I am going to leave my blog open for an hour and write all the funny/interesting things that occur to me about life with Aug and Beck. I have to go on with life, but I will stop over here every time there is a new thought that occurs to me. There are a lot that I know I will forget - even with in the month- 'cause that's just how much the boys change... So here is one hours worth of random reflection on my 19 month and 7 week old.
- When I eat a snack and Becket is in the Baby Bjorn I get crumbs in his hair. - I have to hide my soda from Augie and sneak sips--- because I am a hypocrite and he can't have any.
- Augie can fit an entire cookie in his mouth- and he will
- Becket sleeps with his eyes open
- I don't understand how the blocks are "supposed" to go together
- Diapers get dirty at almost the exact same time!
- It works- the louder you scream the word "bite" the faster I move
- If you stand on your tippy toes and bang on the door of the counter below where the crackers are I move even faster
- Almost everything is climbable and can support 21 lbs.
- When I am holding, nursing, or paying any kind of attention to one, the other demands to be noticed.
- I have learned to both completely tune out the noise that toys make and hear the sound of climbing on the bookcase in the other room
- Augie can find a spot to sit on my lap with Becket that I didn't even know was there.
- A board book is not strong enough to break through a soft spot
- Augie being quiet is a sign of trouble
- Hundreds of dollars worth of toys cannot compare to:
- the printer
- the buttons on the tv
- A spatula
- shutting and opening the door quickly
- putting Becket's pacifier on the cat
- When I try to type this list standing up, Augie gets between me and the desk and pushes me back, once he has my attention, he doesn't really want it any more
- My boys are more entertaining in one hour than any other thing I can think of!
